What does the term 'financial independence' mean to you?

  1. Stable and sufficiently high income. Which can mean job, property, investments, retirement plan, or a combination of them.

    Various financial scams use the term "financial independence" a lot (to avoid sounding like "money from nothing").

  2. It means to be able to work and have your own personal income. No borrowing from others. Depending on ones self to live and most importantly,being responsible with your income and not getting yourself in to any debts.

  3. on one hand it could mean having an income which is approx. 3 times my monthly expenses

    on the other hand it's having enough money I don't have to work.
