  1. Do  you mean "nemesis"?  It means a formidable rival or someone who inflicts retribution.  Terrorists often claim that they are getting revenge for a perceived wrong or injustice.

  3. Looking the word up online, it seems to be about how to represent things. In traditional Greek lives, it was representing nature. In art, it's about imitating what is real. As for how it's related to terrorism, try looking up "mimetic rivalry" online. There seems to be a bunch on it.
