  1. Red lined in racing is when your engine goes over the maximum    R.P.M's (revolutions per minute) . Every engine is set to turn at a maximum of so many rpm's if you exceed that you have red lined .

  2. its when your rpm hit the red line on your cluster

  3. The redline is the maximum recommended RPM for the engine. The term is used because the car tachometer will have a red line around the outside of the dial in the area that is over that number - for example my Honda has a redline of 7000 rpm, so if I rev it above that number the needle on the tach will be in the red section.

You should shift before you get there, generally.

  4. Flat out, top speed, maximum RPMs for that vehicle!

  5. When the tachometer reaches the red line, like 6000 RPM?

  6. like going top speed i think.

  7. That's the max amount of RPMs your car will go before it explodes into thousands of tiny particles.
