  1. It's called a link cable.

There are three kinds; the old Gameboy/ Gameboy Colour link cable, the Gameboy Advance link cable, and the Wireless Adapter. (Which comes with a copy of LeafGreen or FireRed.)

You can find link cables at game realtors like Gamestop or EBGames. Apparently, there's a new one called the Pelican All-in-one Link Cable which serves as both, a Gameboy link cable AND a Gameboy-To-Gamecube link cable.

Hope this helped, and good luck! =D

    Edit -

Oh, yeah. The old Gameboy Colour link cable is yellow, with two USB-looking plugs on either end. This cable does not work on Gameboy Advance games.

The Gameboy Advance link cable has a silver wire, while the USB-looking plugs are silver and purple. The Gameboy Advance cable works with old games and Advance games.

The Adapter looks like a silver half-circle. I do not know how it works, as mine got lost in the process of moving.

  2. It is called a link cable. I don't think they sell them anymore either but check game stop. there is a slight chance that they might have it.
