What does the word 'darkness' mean to u?

discuss from your own point of view, what does the word 'darkness' mean to u and how does it make u feel?? beyond its real meaning which is lack of light....what do u feel, imagine and think when u hear this word?

To me, darkness, is the place in each of us that holds/ harbors all of those feelings/ thoughts/ etc that are not politically, socially, morally or ethically correct.  They are the things we try to suppress and control, with our human side versus instinctual or animal side.  The stuff the 'cultured' side has suppressed.  (for the better, if we are to live in a social setting)

My faith in Christ brings hope for the future and peace in spite of my circumstances. Lack of faith equals darkness for me.

when i hear darkness i think of being alone, in an open field with no one to talk to.  or beig in a state of mind that everythign is going wrong and no one can offer any help or even understand

Colors of a scope which is not red or in the spectrum. It is a wavelenght of a non wave. There is not a darkness in the world. It is a color. Of a non wave. Where there is no light or spectrum.

That depends on the context. Darkness in general makes me think of night or evil.

I just finished writing a paragraph about life and asked another to read it, I gave it the title " The little clues" and they said it was dark and that was life, they asked where the light was and i said I'm still searching for it.

Well, I immediately think of the Chappelle's Show with Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood stories...I think about Charlie getting punched in the forehead and getting in slap-fights with Rick James...oh, and that basketball game with Prince...game...Blouses.

Darkness!  Darkness is spreading!

It makes me smile.

Which reminds me, my therapist never did give me back those episodes of Chappelle's Show I told him to watch...but then, thinking about Dr. Cutiepie makes me smile, too, even when he has my DVDs on loan.
