It stood for  "ipod broadcast" but now it just means any show with episodes,  that you get online or on your portable device.

It's a little file that can be downloaded, and only plays on a pod.  You download it to the pod (just like dowloading a song) and watch it on there.  It's usually something like a music video, TV show episode, etc.  Portable entertainment.
