  1. To me the word "Dad", doesn't necessarily mean your biologic father.

It is someone that is close to you, you feel emotionally connected to and someone who is always there for you when you need them. It is someone who cares about you and most likely helped raise you. And someone who has unconditional love towards you. Someone who accepts the responsibility of being a "dad" regardless of being related by blood.

I don't believe it has anything to do with being related by blood.

  2. To me the word dad means the male who took care of you. In my opinion any man can be a father it takes a real man to be a dad.

  3. Father.

  4. My dad. Yeah that deserves a thumb down, you people are  weird.

  5. my dad

  6. a dad should be a:

    provider

    guider

    teacher

    protector

    reliable person

    fun person

    loving person

someone who will care for you 100%

some one to give you money, even when mom says no=]

  7. My dad - oooh complicated one. I love him, because he's my dad and he can be great, he knows loads about everything and he's really funny, but he can also be very exacting and difficult to please, and as I've got older I have found I have personality clashes with him...

  8. In my opinion, a dad is a male role model who loves, takes care of, and supports his child(ren).

It doesn't matter if he is your biological father or adoptive as long as there is love and support.

My biological father is an abusive @**, therefore I have no relationship with him..

  9. Dead. He was in my life only 16 months of my life between the ages of 8 and 9. Not his fault though. He lost a left leg at the hip, right lung, his teeth to aircraft machine gun fire in WWII. Then he got TB in the remaining lung and a life full of alcoholism from the experience. And better than a  year of that 16 months was visiting him in a VA Hospital once a month for a 15 minute visit.

Guess that may be a foundation to why at 60, I have never married or been in a relationship lasting more than a few days. And I have been alone from age 9 after my mother remarried and abandoned me.

I'm so open to a relationship a 500 pound woman might work. But fact is, I couldn't get anyone if I was warden of a woman's prison and had a parole in each hand.  Can't figure out why I offer no attraction. All my teeth, good health, slim, athletic, well educated, great humor. As you can see, I am not arrogant but yet admit to my narcissism.  No one can point out a fault in me I don't already recognize and admit to.

  10. That guy who you feel is the most positive role model for you.  Granted there has to be some connection to your mom or a biological one.

  11. My dad. I dont get the question.
