  1. no that is just the speed which the writer writes the dvd

    1x=1.32mbps

    2x=2.64mbps

    3x=3.96mbps

    4x=5.28mbps

    5x=6.60mbps

    6x=7.93mbps

    8x=10.57mbps

    10x=13.21mbps

    12x=15.85mbps

    16x=21.13mbps

    that is exact

  2. The speed doesn't affect the quality.  If there is a 4x speed and an 8x speed, they will both have the same quality, but the 8x speed will write the disc twice as fast.

  3. this is what speed the data is written to the disc, the higher speed the cd/dvd the faster it can be written to but the quality of the product will be lower  , for instance rather than taking ages to burn something it would burn alot faster.

    hope this helped.
