I have this necklace of a celtic symbol, but I can't find out what it means

  1. What you have is a basic and pretty Celtic Knot. These

    are mostly taken from the Book of Kells (look it up,

    it's interesting, its history). They symbolize the eternity

    of lives, no beginning or end to them, lots of twists

    and turns.

  3. It is not a Celtic Cross.  I agree with naturemama:  it is a basic celtic knot with no beginning nor end.  It represents the never ending cycles of life.

  4. Unfortunately there is very little information left in regards to the meaning of the celtic knots. All we have is a superficial understanding of them anymore.

    The shape of the knot in your picture suggests a rectangular weave. This could be symbolic of a shield, and the charm is therefore one meant to ward evil.

    This is NOT a complete definition or understanding, but like I said, we have limited comprehension of such things. We don't know what the crossing means, the number of weaves, or the reason for the direction of the weave.
