I have a set of official Beijing 2008 Fuwa chopsticks and they have these care instructions. Can anyone decode?

Use explanation

- Chopsticks' surface protect layer adopte vironmental protection's paint, innocuity Tasteless, please reassurance usage.

- Chopsticks at use best behind belike surface's paint fall off or calm down a part attrition seriously, please in time change. Suggest use time for six months.

  1. Sorry I can't answer the question! But thanks for making my day by asking it! Phew, how does anyone get away with thinking THAT will pass for English, or even Engrish?

    For the sake of your own safety, however, I would advise not using them for eating, especially in view of the "innocuity Tasteless" ...


  2. Don't you love it when the Chinese use first-year English students as technical writers?

    It would appear that it is saying that the chopsticks contain a surface coating of an environmental protectant which is tasteless. Best to use it before the paint starts to fall off, then change them. Best not to use after 6 months.

  3. The paint is safe to eat, don't worry.  Discard after 6 months of use.

  4. Don't reuse the painted chopsticks for any long period of time.
