What does this MRI Report on my back mean?

I've been in excruciating pain that I of course neglected until it got so bad! Does this mean I have a slipped disc? What kind of injections are they talking about?

the MRI shows I have mild arthritis in all of my vertebrates, but in the L4 & L5 there is moderate broad protrusion with contact on the thecal sac and on the L5 nerve root axillae bilaterally and about the same on the L5-S1. So he want me to go to a spinal nerve specialist that will inject each disc and see what makes the pain go away and the feeling to get back in my leg.

  1. I guess you know what Arthritis is? The protrusion is a bulge that is pressing up against the thecal sac, the cover of what would be the spinal cord, except at this level L5-S1 their is no spinal cord just a bundle of loose nerves.

The injection would be a nerve block, which will relieve the pain. That is providing the pain you are feeling is coming from this area. Best of Luck
