"give a man a fish, he eats for a day, teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime"

is it just like pass on your knowlege to help others or sumthin like that??

  1. Well im not sure where it came from but i could tell you what it means

    An alternate way of saying the quote in a more modern state is you can give a begger some money and he will have some change or you can get him a job (or teach him how to do one) so he can always have money for the rest of his life.

    Basically its better to teach a man how to do something rather do it for him once and he has get help again later

    Another ex. You can fix a man's computer, and he will be satisfied for a while, or you can teach a man how to fix it himself, and he will never bother you again
