What does this butterfly represent?

I've heard that butterflies can represent different omens does anyone know what seeing a black butterfly in your house represents?

A black butterfly is the spirit of a deceased person so they say. I've heard this a lot here at our place, i'm from the philippines. :D

a black butterfly is a black butterfly, as is a black cat. if you see a black person in your house, it's no omen, it's just a person.

don't look into things too much.
