In my book it said he wanted, “one per cent of such actual increase of revenue over and above its present amount.”

what does that mean???

  1. I would take it as such:

    Start at the end to find what you need.

    The present amount is X

    If it should increase past X in reality (not in say projected or unadjusted sums), then he would also get 1% of that increase.

    So if the current revenue was $100 dollars per month, and on the next month it was $101, he would get his cut of that $101 based on the original agreement, plus 1% (one cent) of that extra $1.
