What does this garnishing term mean, "roses"? ?

You can make a rose like decoration by using various methods.

1) Cut glazed cherries in to quarters.

Arrange the four quartes so that they look like flower petals. Cut small squares off a green glazed cherry and place ONE only next to each flower of red to look like a leaf...

2) Roll stiff icing sugar/butter mix in to little snakes.

Then shape them around a tooth pick to start tightly at the bottom bot loosely toward the top.

Soon it will look like a rose.
