What does this hint mean?

Let's say you were hanging out with someone of opposite s*x that you secretly like and they tell you that they are attached.Does it mean that they want you back off?

I guess it could be a subtle way of saying this but they might just be telling the truth if they are in a relationship at that time.

I would say yes- they want you to back off.  Why is this in the weddings section?

It could be a warning not to expect more than friendship -- or it could be a way of saying "We can fool around but we have to be discreet and it's never going be anything serious."

Honey, it isn't a hint...it is telling you they are attached...have a significant other....THEY ARE UNAVAILABLE.
