we just started hooking up and theres quite a age difference, but we were tlaking online and hes like i love you, and i gave him a look hes liek well no IN love but I love youu!!!! what does that mean?!

I love you means that the person cares for you and about you. Im not IN love with you means that it isnt a romantic love.

You can love someone with out being in love with them.  I love my parents, but I'm sure as h**l not in love with them.  See?  BTW please don't listen to Cynthia, that's fairy tale stuff that she told you.  Butterflies?  She's talking about infatuation.  But she'll find that out after middle school.....

To be "in love" - that has the butterflies, anticipation about seeing each other, can't sleep, can't eat etc.

To love someone - is more reserved, more mature in some aspects, usually comes after being in love with that person for a long while.  It's another stage of the relationship.
