I was told by someone today that ive come up against myself, and im not sure what they mean by the expression, can you guys shed some light ?

That someone is an Asian or Westerner. In society,it can mean you shot your own foot. Another meaning is you are making thing difficult to yourself and it involved them indirectly, You sabotage accidentally and watch out.

Could be like ...you are too smart by half.....meaning you cause your own problems.........(don't we all )  mostly ......also you confound yourself....

I have no idea, but maybe they're saying you're a hypocrite or two-faced.

that ur overwealming or that theirs a fight that only you can win or something that u can overcome.

I think it means that you have betrayed a part of yourself.  That you have done something that is not something you would usually do.  Or you did something that you said you wouldn't.

You are your own worse enemy..that you have to deal with yourself before you can solve anything else.
