What does this mean, "The insurance policy has been ammended"?

  1. It means that something changed on your policy. Typically, that kind of notice also contains another page that is adding or removing some sort of your coverage. If it is not explained clearly enough, call your agent and have him/her walk you through it.


  2. basically it means that something changed and they are amending it.. i.e. you changed your billing address.. therefore they are amending it..

  3. it means they have added or changed something about your policy

  4. it means that your original policy terms or application has been changed in some way.  i.e., benefits, coverage, information on the application, etc ... whatever the case may be.  this amendment will need to be placed with the original policy because it becomes part of the policy and your policy information needs to be kept accurate.
