DP = 7-8-4-1-0 (20) DI = 5.67 CD = 1.05 This is listed above my TB mare's pedigree. What does it mean?

  1. yes, answer below was 100% correct...it comes down to

    how far a horse should be able to run, if you go by it's

    parents history in races when they ran....


  2. That is the horse's dosage information. DP = 7-8-4-1-0 (20) is the Dosage Profile (the five B-I-C-S-P numbers and the total points), DI = 5.67 is the Dosage Index, and CD = 1.05 is the Center of Distribution.

  3. DP is dosage points.  DI is dosing index.  CD is center of distribution.  JUST based on this your mare is more suited for sprints rather than a route.  6 to 8 furlongs rather than 10 to 12 furlongs.
