Please be sure that "quoted text" appears as ""quoted text"".

I don't quite understand what that means.

  1. I think it means they are repeating what someone has said like

    A SAID HI

    B SAID TO D A SAID'HI'

    maybe lol

it can be used in sarcatic way too not sure how it works hope i helped

    xox

  2. ok, so like when u say somthing and some one else says the same thing, you have to "" it, even if it is a "". so like if i say, he said, "Hi." Then you would say, "you said that he said, "hi". even though "hi" is single quotated, its technically double. Hope This Helps!!

  3. It sounds like someone is asking you to incorporate text from a book or play in something you are writing?  You just want to make sure that anything which is taken directly from another source is put in quotation marks.  This way it is clear that it is not your own words but the words of another person.

  4. The text that is quoted. For ex: "HI".....repeat it as "Hi"...i dont know maybe lol..

  5. Dont steal someone elses work. If you copy it from some where put it in quotations. ""

  6. It means, if you're quoting something for someone else's writing, and they had a quote in that writing, you need to make sure that quote is shown

So let's pretend I'm a writer writing about chicken fingers:

Chicken fingers are deep-fried or breaded chicken that is typically consumed by children.  Owner of Friday's Restaurant says, "Chicken fingers are the top seller off the kids menu."

NOW you want to insert this into your essay, so you would write:

"Chicken fingers are deep-fried or breaded chicken that is typically consumed by children.  Owner of Friday's Restaurant says, 'Chicken fingers are the top seller off the kids menu.'"

*notice the ' mark around the quotation now.. thats what you need to do too
