"Close the poem with thanks to the Goddess and God.

Fold it in half with the words inside it.

Draw a triple goddess sign on the outside.

Now fold it in half again with the symbol on the inside.

Now draw a pentacle on the paper.

Finally, flip it over and write your name and birthdate on the other side.

Put this aside in a safe place and your wish will come true in due time."

What's a triple goddes sign? And a pentacle? Plz help!! :)

  1. The poem above is a Witches Spell. A witches spell can be written by a practicing religious witch (Pagan or Wiccan) or simply by a witch or someone interesting in the field.

The triple goddess symbol is a basic image of a full moon (a circle) with two crescent moons on the left and right side of it, each facing with its open side outward.

In mythology, G-ddesses appeared to people in groups of three, Usually G-dess in the mythos appear as a single diety with three differtn aspects, in the NeoPagan religion the triple G-ddess is depicted as a young woman, a middle aged woman, and a crone. They are commonly used in spells for love, or summoning power and giving prasie.

The young woman of the triple G-ddess represents birth, youth enchantment, blissfulness, and new beginnings. The middle aged woman represents the mother, fertility, sexuality, stability, and power. And the crone represents wisdom, death, and endings.

A pentacle is an amulet (an object that protects someone) usually inscribed on paper that are used in magikal workings.

A pentagram is a five-sided star usually drawn within a circle to be used as an alter during magical workings. Each point represents an element: earth, water, wind, ect. depending on the makers preference.

  2. Where d'you get this??!! Its sounds weird and i have no idea what it means by gods and goddesses...

  3. looks to me that that is a wiccan wish spell, not sure bout teh goddess sign, but a pentacle is a star with a circle just google it

  4. Well, *technically* a "pentacle" is just a magickal sigil, and there are lots of different types:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentacle

But the first poster is correct in that the most common pentacle seen, and the one that the spell is likely referring to is a 5 pointed star, point upright, inside a circle.

The triple goddess symbol is a combination of the first quarter moon, full moon and last quarter moon together to form a "horned crescent."  It looks a bit like this:

Pictures of both the triple goddess symbol and the pentacle are included in this lesson on Wiccan / NeoPagan Symbology and Cosmology:

Just scroll down until you get to the section with the heading "Common Neo-Pagan and Wiccan Symbols."

If you want the entire 4 class lesson, which includes information on the history of Wicca / NeoPaganism, ethics, beliefs, wheel of the year, mythic cycles, and liturgical design, that's here:

The course is written at a college level, but the information that you want just to answer your question is all included (in pictoral form) in the 2nd lesson, the first link I gave.

  5. A pentacle is a five-sided start drawn inside a circle.  the circle must be closed- it binds the magic inside.
