sorry i don't know how to write in vietnamese so im just going to sound it out.

con hu dome ( how is the correct way to spell that) i think it means bad or something

  1. This is a common Vietnamese idiom. Con hư do mẹ. It means : "It is because of his Mother that the son is bad. The idiom stresses the relationship between the Mother and her children, that she is responsible for them in everything.

    According to East Asian tradition, a family may have many children. In order to feed all his family, the husband/father goes to work, so he assigned the Mother for taking care of all their children. This conception is now obsolete nowadays, because Both of the parents are equal in teaching their sons and daughters.
