It could have a welsh meaning if you confirm the spelling of gyfrous, pert in Welsh means pretty, gramatically in a sentence it is spelled bert "mae hi yn gyffroes ag yn bert" she is exiting and pretty

'gyfroes' is not a Welsh word. It could be 'gyffroes' ...exciting or 'gyfrwys'...sly/cunning. ( they are both mutated forms of 'cyffroes' and 'cyfrwys')

'bert' is probably the mutated form of the South Walean word 'pert' meaning 'pretty'.
