  1. It means that that person cries so much that it's starting to decay their cheek. In other words the tears are causing his/her cheek to "wear away".


  2. it means dont cry alot. erosion is wearing down of something (cheeks...on ur face) by weather (usually water...tears) so metaphorically speaking tears wear away your cheeks because they are the rain.
