  1. It could also be Yahoo s******g up!  I have had this happen to me.  Even after I enter my password, I get the same message.  It is a technical glitch, which seems to be common with Yahoo these days.

  2. This is what Yahoo says. Its a security procedure. I have mine set to ask just once a day.

Why am I being asked for my password?

To protect your account, you need to confirm your password periodically.

Some Yahoo! services, such as Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Address Book, require you to periodically enter your password even though you are already signed in. We do this to protect your personal information.

You can adjust the length of time before password prompting--up to 24 hours--by visiting Account Info and clicking on the Edit link for Member Information. (more)

For your security, we will always prompt you for your password when accessing sensitive personal information, like Account Info.

  3. Brief case is Yahoos on line storage site. I use mine to store certain programs that I don't want to lose. files and photos that I don't have hard copies of. I believe it has a photo shareing feature and a couple others I don't use. look in yahoos all products section for it. A secure site I even store my pass words their in case I forget or lost my hard copies

  4. Perhaps its in your email setting that before your briefcase is opened, your password will be automatically asked for privacy reasons. Go to Edit and change that particular setting. I'm sure its in there, though I don't see that in my yahoo account email. Anyway, just explore your email a little bit and maybe you'll find what you're looking for.
