ok so ever since I can remember I've said ok "lets" go do this when I'm by myself or when I'm telling somebody what I'm doing I say "we're" doing this... I never paid any attention to it until somebody at work started making fun of me for it.. Anybody got any idea of why I say this

  1. Yes . . . You're Weird

  2. its talking of yourself in the third person.

    I've done it too.

    Maybe a tad schitzophrenic?

    Or guardien angels?

  3. Nah, not weird, some people just do that!

    I have noticed!

How did your parents refer to themselves? did they say "we're" or "I"? Maybe you picked it up off them.

Dont worry about it, some people just use anything they can to pick on somebody. It doesn't mean you're weird at all, it just means this person wants to make fun of you and is using that. But i'm sure they are only teasing, don't take it seriously.

  4. You're making me worry about you...

Do you often talk about yourself in the third person?

Nah I'm sure its nothing. Maybe your parents did many things with you and to make your activites team orientated it was always about "we" and "us" and you continued it from there.

If you want to change it just try to pick yourself up on it everytime you say it and repeat it the way you'd like to say it. Before long you'll begin to subconsciously say it differently.

  5. We do it as well, and it doesn't bother us. Talking of oneself in the third person plural is actually a sign of high nobility. It used to be called "the Royal We". Remember Queen Victoria, "We are not amused". lol
