What does this mean???PLEASE ANSWER!?

I know this is gonna sound a bit stupid, lol, but I don't care.

I keep reading questions about people being trolls, and well I just don't understand what that means? What does it mean when people call others trolls?

I'm guessing its a bad thing, and no nobody has called me this, but i have seen it a few different times in peoples questions.

It depends on the troll some are bad and some are here to educate and make you think .

Why thank you wife I do my best . I do so enjoy seeing the people explode when you shake them up and make them think about what they were always told was true . The madder they get the closer the hit .

A troll is someone who comes on here for the sole purpose of inciting anger or getting people upset.

Why does Jesus love balls on his face?

That would be very troll-like.

A troll is someone who asks a question intending to anger or hurt others.

There are humorous trolls who, while most of their q&a are off topic,  are so delightful that the vast majority of people here love them to no end.

Anyone can be a troll, even without intent. If you word a question so that someone takes offense, you will be called a troll. I know, it's happened to me. People can be really touchy around here.

Troll-

One who purposely and deliberately (that purpose usually being self-amusement) starts an argument in a manner which attacks others on a forum without in any way listening to the arguments proposed by his or her peers. He will spark of such an argument via the use of ad hominem attacks (i.e. 'you're nothing but a fanboy' is a popular phrase) with no substance or relevance to back them up as well as straw man arguments, which he uses to simply avoid addressing the essence of the issue.

A troll is a person who does the following:

1. Asks stupid, pointless questions: "How do I remove a 3 ton shark from my closet?" and stupidness like that.

2. Gives thumbs down for no apparent reason.

3. Gives thumbs down for questions that they haven't bothered to answer.

4. Tries to rile people up by asking "offensive" questions: "I just threw my 98-year-old grandmother down the stairs and lit her on fire, what should I do next?", and other tasteful questions like that.

5. Goes to boards and repeats the same thing over and over, regardless of the question.  

If no one has called you a troll, take it as an extreme compliment.
