  1. I believe the author is referring to a man that is not stable (to put it mildly) but still manages to "carry" his partner and all of her problems, or "luggage", along with his own and the woman allows him to do so and seems to not care how this is affecting him and/or their relationship. In other words, she is the type that "needs" a man to pay all of her bills while she sits her lazy a** on the couch and most likely treats him like c**p in the process.


  2. Sounds like a man/woman riding a horse to me.

    After reading the other answer, about the broken man and mean wife. I do say my answer was very shallow and I meant it to be shallow. I'm just not the type of person to think that way. But I do agree, that answer was much better than mine.

    I thought it was more a riddle than a poem =)
