so basically its wrong to keep a grudge against someone of doing you wront.

I believe it means if injustice is done upon u, your are innocent for what ever injustice was put upon you. If you think of revenge your adding more sin to the injustice that has already been done, you have become angry, then you realize it is sinful.  Your anger for the injustice that has been put upon you still burns inside you but you have put out he embers that cause to have hatred.
