The quote in this book says "scientists will save us all?"

What does this mean? Ten points if someone can give me an answer.

Most things that man have were created by scientist and if or when things that go wrong, surely it's creator can fix it.

Its most likely sarcastic, as in you abandon all that has held true for everything ever changing.

Its not really something that needs explained I believe.
