  1. My guess (sorry, it is a guess) is that her answers won't be very informative, but her non-verbal reactions to the questions will communicate alot about what she is thinking, whether she's afraid, whether she's hiding something, how much she likes or hates the questioner, etc.  She also may be known for being difficult to understand. She may ramble alot or never get to the point, so that listening to her answers won't give you nearly as much information as watching her reactions to your questions.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

  2. if you mean her, then i think it would make sense, i cant really come up with an example but i think it makes sense.......i think you could alot about a person from both, but idk

  3. does make sense.... read carefully

  4. i didnt read the book but sounds like your saying you will know this person just by the type of questions this person asks.

  5. It doesn't make sense...do you mean you will know her more by HER questions than by her answers?

IF that is the case it means that people can show more insight and understanding by their questions...than by the answers they give.  You can find answers...but it takes a certain amount of understanding and inquisitiveness to ask intelligent questions.  Also by asking questions you can tell where someone is heading in the conversation.

  6. if your questions require a deeper answer than usual, then that means you know that person more intimately.  for example, when you meet someone new, you ask silly questions like what music do you like, what's your fav. food, do you have bros. or sisters, and at a certain point those questions fade away, and in knowing a person more you ask questions like, do you want to have a family, how would you raise a kid, how can I help you succeed... etc.  you get the idea.  the harder the questions you ask the more you know them.

  7. The quotation implies that one can see in others only that which one is prepared to see or to ask about; the questing self can understand only what it is ready to know. If you know someone, your knowledge connect more to yourself that to the other because you define the way you want to know that person. Love is blind.

  8. It might help to post the full question from the Readers Guide:

    2. Professor Archie Brubaker is the voice of reason throughout the novel. Archie has many thoughtful insights into the personality of Stargirl, and at one point says about her: "You'll know her more by your questions than by her answers. Keep looking at her long enough. One day you might see someone you know." Now that you've finished the novel, what do you think Archie means by this statement?

I haven't read the book, but I would take it to mean that you will learn more by observing her than you will from her answers to questions.  The questions you ask her will reflect what you have observed about her, perhaps without even realizing you've noticed these things, but her answers will not be so helpful.

    Hope that helps
