What does this quote mean? Help?

"nothing id do to lose anything i have"

It was said by a friend of mine i dont understand the meaning behind it anyone care to tell me.

This is my interpretation; I wouldn't cheat on my spouse and risk losing her/him" I wouldn't go so far in debt that I'd have to file bankruptcy" Something along those lines. Hope that helps without knowing the rest of the subject of the conversation.

By itself, it doesn't mean anything.   Or one might say that it only means your friend needs to try to express him or herself more clearly, or maybe was only trying to say something that sounded deep or mysterious.
