Quote 1: "We stare at her, wanting her bread, but more than that wanting to poke the arrogance out of her eyes and smash the pride of ownership that curls her chewing mouth." pg.9

  1. she is beautiful and they want her body and she knows it and snobs everyone off and we would like to tell her  her aditude make her ugly


  2. It means we want what she has, the material part of what she has, and yet, simultaneously, we know that she is arrogant and prideful, and that owning all that stuff she owns gives her a guttermouth.

    And we are not sure about that second part, that is whether we want others to know that's also what's in our hearts.
