  1. even when all around us there are signs saying the glass is half empty...it will always be half full no matter what.

She went through a lot of pain and horrible circumtances...watched her family and loved ones die or be taken away to Camps during WWII...so, she is saying she does not dwell on the pain, but focuses on only good things left in her life at that time so she can survive and find happiness---she saw beauty in other things to continue on....
