  1. that knowledge doesn't have a true definition, to have it is to merely learn something you didn't know before.

as for an example, i cant think of one.

sorry but hope i helped a little

  2. It just simply means:

    1)   the beginning of knowledge - the first step to learning something

    2)   the discovery of something we do not understand - is to acknowledge that you do not understand

You have to admit that you do not know something and that you are interested about it.  Reason:  some people go through life like a know it all.  They do not bother to really see meaning or they simply are not interested in finding out.

For example, algebra.  This is a difficult subject for some people.  Some people even do not want to have anything to do with it.  Others still, say it is not important, why bother?  These people who refuse algebra will not learn algebra.

Discovery means you found something, you find interest in it, you investigate or look around it.  If something is undiscovered it remains where it is, it has no use and will never be appreciated.

This is the same with the body of knowledge created by man.  There are so many.  But it will all remain unappreciated, without use until someone "discovers" it.

  3. This quote can be read and interpreted in many different ways. My view of the meaning behind this quote is simply that we can gain knowledge but at the very beginning we do not see the the full understanding.

For example: When one learns a subject such as Algebra, It is fresh knowledge permeating in your mind yet most do not fully understand the concepts integral meanings and applications.
