Question:

What does this reaction to food mean?

This is gross but I wanted to ask. For the last few years almost every time I eat dinner (only dinner) afterward I cough up quite a bit of phlegm. It's always clear and only happens the one time. I'm not sick and haven't been for awhile. I usually have my allergies surface in early summer then fade by mid-summer as they have this summer. My allergies are very minor. I usually eat a lot of vegetables, veggie burgers, turkey burgers and fruit. Could this reaction be to the food? I also drink way too much diet pop though this reaction doesn't always happen on days I've had pop.

I'm not very concerned just wondering what's going on and if I could stop it. Is this my body's way of getting rid of toxins in the food? Is that possible? I have no idea.

Thanks!
