Question:

What does this reoccurring dream mean?

I've had a reoccurring dream (or theme I should say) since I was a child. The common theme is an alligator. He's always trying to kill me with his giant razor sharp jaws. There was a period of time when he would hide in random household objects (pots, shelves, ect). But in my most recent dream, he tried to attack my little cousin, and when I tried to save my cousin, the alligator came after me (as always). It comes and goes, but the alligator always comes back. Does anyone have any idea what this means. Please, try to analyze this, don't just send me sites for dream analysis or copy descriptions from another site. I've done my own research and know about the basics. If anyone could give me a reall good analysis I would be so greatful!

  1. Satan is seeking who he may devour.  He has come to steal, kill and destroy.( that's your alligator. He is the deceiver that's why he can look like anything or anyone even an angel of light but he always exposes himself because the truth is not in him. )

Jesus came that you may have life. The choice is yours.

  2. The dreams suggests there is something very threatening in your life.  It has been that way for some time.  There is a possible oral theme with the gators attempting to devour you.  This would suggest someone is attempting to control, to stifle your personality.

It is likely some authority figure in your life possibly a parent.  It also seems to effect others but mostly focuses on you.  There could be a sexual aspect to this but there is not enough information.

Let me know if this helps.

  3. apparently you fear alligators.  and when you try to chase off your fear, it defeats you.  people can get over their fears by doing research, facing the thing in real life, etc.  you need to overcome your fear.

  4. Go to   http://www.sayahda.com/cycle.htm

It tells about animal totems and their meanings.

Perhaps the alligator is trying to help you unlock some emotional block you are not aware of. Since they are survivors, maybe it is telling you that if you face an emotional obsticle you will be able to survive it. Maybe something from the past that you have repressed, or forgotten.

  5. Im sorry that I can't help much but it sounds haunting. Srry. I have alot of creepy dreams I need help with.

  6. This obvuiously started with a fear you had in childhood, I would imagine about security and abandonment. The same situations may not be happening, but the situations you find yourself in are bringing up the same emotions and fears. Fears that you are not good enough, fears that you are not loved and fears that someone will leave you.
