What does this say in English? And am I correct?

Este verano era muy ocupado. Mis amigas y yo fuimos al lago para el cumpleanos de la mi amiga. Fui a la playa con mi amiga, Lauren, y su familia. Entonces me, mi familia, y mi amiga fuimos al montanas. Fuimos en una balsa, caminatas, y al Dollywood. !Que divertido! Estoy alegre comenzar un el ano nuevo de escuela.

(Sorry I couldn't put up accent marks or the upside down exclamation point, idk how on my keyboard. But you can point it out if you want, I just want to know if this is correct Spanish.)

I would say it like this:

Tuve un verano muy ocupado.  Mis amigas y yo fuimos al lago por el cumpleaños de una de mis amigas.  También fui a la playa con mi amiga Lauren y su familia.  Después mi familia, mis amigas, y yo fuimos a las montanas.  Nos subimos en una balsa, hicimos caminatas, y fuimos a Dollywood. ¡Que divertido! Estoy feliz de comenzar un año nuevo en la escuela.

and it says:

I had a very busy weekend.  My friends and I went to the lake for

one of my friends birthday.  I also went to the beach with my friend Lauren and her family.  Then my family, my friends and I went to the mountains.  We got on a raft, went hiking, and went to Dollywood.  It was fun!  I am happy to start a new year in school.

This summer was very busy. My friends and I went to the lake for one of my girlfriend's birthday. I went to the beach with my friend Lauren and her family. After that, my family and friends went to the mountains. We rode a raft, went for walks and went to Dollywood. It was fun! I'm happy to start a new school year.
