I'm pretty sure i know but just wondering.

a smile is a curve that can get a lot of things straight

you need to bend (curve) your lips to smile and when you do that you could straighten (solve) things up (like problems with people giving you a cold shoulder, etc)

Represents a weird face. one big eye, one small eye. the small eye your squinting and raise your eyebrow on the big eye.

kind of like the face you would give someone when you dont understand or say wtf..

Perhaps, that if you give a person a great big smile, you can straighten out any problems you may have with them.
