What does this stamping mean or say?

That is the bottom of one of my moms vintage salt and pepper shakers set. We cannot make out what it says. I thought someone might have something with this stamp that might be able to help me? (On the bottom of the one on the right)

It says japan.

It's the manufacturers mark. I can't read all of it so I couldn't research the company.

Sorry, it's a bit too hard to read. Have you thought about taking them to an antique dealer or someone similar in the know who may be able to help you?

Or perhaps borrow a book on antiques from the library. Surely they'd have books similar to stamp books which could tell you what the stamp says and approximate value (if you don't already know).
