I assume it comes from the steretype of the "Femme Fatale":

Unfortunately this stereotype has prevailed before the name appeared and afterwards, it is far away from being human.

"Dangerous Woman", is based in that stereotype, it refers to a woman that captivates men destroying their hearts, their wallets and their family lives.

I agree with some of the other answers from a historical viewpoint, but I think it has come to used to describe a woman who is VERY assertive in any social context, not necessarily one who is sexually attractive.  Not just your everyday feminist, but a really aggressive female version of Donald Trump sort of person.  It's definitely used in the corporate world as well as on the street.

i think that dangerous women is someone who put poison in the soup they cook for their lover in order to tie him to her the rest of his life..my english is bad.
