What does traping heat means?

if a material can trap heat well , does it mean it is a good conductor of heat or a poor conductor of heat?Does traping heat means traping heat in the material or inside the material.inside the material means what the material is containing.for example water , if there is a bowl of water and if the material holding the water traps heat well , what does it mean?

maybe you might not understand my question . a million thanks in advance

  2. Trapped heat is energy that is contained w/ no chance of escape, therefore it takes longer to cool down than un-trapped heat w/ no source to keep it constant, steady or rising.
