What does vinegar do to an unborn child?

does drinking vinegar abort an unborn child?...believe me i am anti-abortion..I'm just wondering if what my friend told me is true. she also told me that many women perform do it yourself abortions..what do they do? where do they come up w/these ideas?

well.. there are a lot of things with vinegar as the ingredient.  Pickles, Italian dressing... pickled anything pretty much- so Im gonna call her bluff on that one.  

And some women in other countries do... such as china because they are only allowed 1 child.  If you are planning to get an abortion.. you're best bet would be to have a professional do it.  You can run the risk of NEVER being able to have children if you try to perform your own.

Your friend knows not of what she speaks. Tell her to get her facts straight and read some books. You should ask her where she comes up with these ideas.

No. Drinking any amount of vinegar will not cause a miscarriage at any point of time in a pregnancy. It's definitely NOT a good idea to try to end a pregnancy by taking any household preparations or drugs unsupervised

In fact some women recommend a little vinegar for fighting morning sickness.

Apple cider vinegar is supposed to be great for helping with pregnancy related nausea.  It didn't do squat for me though.

I know some ideas for do-it-yourself abortions but they are all more dangerous to the mother than to the fetus.  I'm not sharing any ideas here in case some desperate girl decides to try it.

Nooo idea! I LOVE vinegar and eat it a lot, and my baby is healthy and kicking. Vinegar is good for your system and helps you stay healthy. I've never heard of people using it as a form of abortion.

everything I've read does not indicate that drinking any amount of vinegar will lead to a miscarriage.  whatever doesn't get filtered out by your stomach acids will just get filtered out by the placenta....

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard, I can't imagine vinegar doing any harm to an unborn baby unless maybe you drank 100 gallons of it and made yourself disgustingly sick. There are at-home abortion methods that were created out of neccesity when abortions were illegal and women were desperate. I certainly wouldn't reccommend trying them, nor would I discuss what they are. These kinds of abortions are extremely dangerous, not completely reliable, and could end up killing the person trying it, or lead to serious infections and complications.
