  1. From ESPN's Website:

Waivers are the process by which team owners can select from the pool of available players who are not on a team's roster in the league. They may have been undrafted or dropped by owners. Owners can put a claim for that player, but must wait a specified amount of time until the waiver clears.

The team owner with the better waiver priority (closest to "1") that puts a claim on a player will receive the player when waivers clear. For example, if two or more owners put in claims for Jerry Porter, the claim with the best waiver priority is awarded Jerry Porter.

NOTE: Waiver Priority is in numeric order; i.e. a team owner with waiver priority "1" gets precedence over a team owner with a waiver priority of "10". All available players not on waivers are considered free agents.

  2. You have a waiver position and it means if someone goes on waivers (a team drops the player) and your position is 1. Then with in those 2 or 3 days you have to first choice to pick that player up.  After the deadline ends for waivers the player is anyones for the picking.

If your position is 6.  5 people ahead of you can pick that player with in the waiver time period...
