i need to know what level 5 means on an arrest warrant

  1. The "level" of the warrant is actually the "level" of the offense.

    Depending upon your state...it has certain degrees or levels of how serious an offense is.

    In this case it appears the "level of the offense" was a level 5 which in Florida (for instance) would be a somewhat serious offense.

    Some examples would be:

    -Leaving or attempting to leave scene of

    crash  



    - Knowledge of order to stop by authorized

    LEO

    -Willful refusal to stop or willful stop and

    then flee

    - Causes injury to another person or

    property damage to another person

    The actual type of warrant could be a misdemeanor or felony warrant. That's where the real issue is.

    Conviction of a misdemeanor offense carry's less than one year in jail whereas a felony is no less than one year in jail.
