  1. Well drinks are the inexpensive alcohols served.  Often these may be poured from the 'gun' device.

When is it a special?  Whenever the bar says it is, usually a small price break.

  2. A well drink is a drink made with whatever alcohol the bar uses, not a specific name brand.......a call drink is when a rum and coke for example is ordered with Captain Morgan rum and coke....the difference is cost....so if there is a special on say rum and coke,  the price would be XXXamount for well liqour, another with a call name liquor

  3. well (or rail) drinks are made with liquors kept in a well right at at the rail of the bar where it is easy for the bartender to reach.  These bottles are usually cheaper than "top shelf" drinks.

  4. they r house drinks the one they have at their bar

  5. At our bar our well drinks are the cheap (ie Philips) brand of liquor.

  6. not name brand liquors

  7. A well drink is the cheapest alcohol that the bar uses for a given cocktaile

    1.  martini's would use either a well gin or vodka.

    2.  a margarita would use a well tequila

it depends on the bar.  some bars might use a cheap vodka such as popov or Smirnoff....while other would probably use Skyy (yuck!) as the well vodka.

At the bar where I used to work, the well vodka was Skyy...and everyone thought it was a pretty good well-vodka but it just left me with too many hangovers.

Our well tequila was Sauza!  yuckier! but lots of people liked it....
