What does writing poetry say about a person?

people who write poetry must have alot going on in their heads. whether it's depression or confusion or anger or extreme happiness.. or all of it. it's a good way to express yourself i'd think.

I have never met someone who doesn't write poetry. I suspect it means someone is literate. And by some of the submissions in here, I suspect it means they are BARELY literate.

Even most great poets are a--wholes, so I doubt being an artist would actually give you a heart. It might get you some naive person to gratify your physical needs though, so I guess it usually means you want some action when you pass yourself off as a poet.
