thinking about xmas ideas... it's almost time people! space the presents so your finances aren't in a bind during nov. & dec.

I'll be buying for a boy that will be three and a half around christmas. What do 3.5 and 4 year olds LOVE to play with, or USE a lot?

  1. Kids love to play in water, and the bathtub.

I love to get kids this age a basket of bath toys and add some bath soap, kids shampoo, foam soap and wall crayons and wall paint for the bath - all the soaps are at Walmart. Maybe even beach toys taht can be used in the bath. Everything else is always overdone. People forget about the bathtub so it's usually a good idea.

  2. a bike

  3. the mega block legos! hot wheels cars

  4. bike

    blocks

anything that can get messy like paints and crafty stuff like that

    toy trains

  5. My 3.5 year old LOVES Thomas the Tank Engine.  He spends hours playing with them.  Get him a Thomas DVD and whatever character train is in the story.  Mine loves to act out the stories he watches with his train.  He provides all their voices and the actions with his trains and track.  A carrying case is always good to since it teaches that everything has a place.

  6. All boys love Thomas The Train. It'll keep him busy for hours. Lego's and matchbox cars are also great for that age.

  7. buzz and woody dolls

    bat and baseball

    nets for bug catching

    trucks and cars

    bubbles

    bike

    slide

    playdough

    sand

I've found that the smaller and more inexpensive the toy is the more it's played with. so we always end up getting a lot of little stuff at christmas.

  8. Mine loves magetix! Loves those silver magnetic balls and loves having a container to carry them around in. Also, likes to pretend with stuffed animals, cars, balls, books, and CAILLOU.

  9. My 4 year old loves his train table and legos a lot. He also loves his plastic golf set, plastic baseball set, plastic basketball hoop and small basket balls, roller skates with helmet and pads, bike, dinosaurs, Vtech toys, cars, remote control cars, his car that actually drives (battery powered), and pool toys (we have a pool). He loves his tool set and play with his sister's toy kitchen and toy restaurant. He likes his plastic bowling set and large blocks that he can stack up to make a fort. Play tents are fun, Cami and Aidan each have one. They are both age 4. They love to play in them. You could get him a little inexpensive kid camera. They are about $30. My kids love theirs. If he likes stuffed animals, go with that. Remote control airplanes are always fun. If he doesn't already have one, a fun sprinkler would be nice. You know the ones that squirt and spin and stuff. A little robot, though he may be a little young. Stuff that gets his brain working is great like puzzles and things that he can make believe with such as play food and a play restaurant. This is also a good age to introduce simple games. I can't really remember what else at the moment. He also likes books, chalk, bubbles, paint, crayons, art supplies, etc. Look for outdoor things that you think he'd like.

  10. bikes are good and also stuff like toy trains and such
