What does your average bartender make (moneywise)?

I'm looking into bartending cause there are no jobs open for what I usually do. What does your average newbie or slightly experienced bartender make?

What do you make in tips per night (little local bars or big clubs?)?

How much do you bring home a week (or two weeks)?

What is your average wage (little local bars or big clubs?)?

Is it worth pursuing in the long term?

What would you say the average salary is?

A barperson in small town bars would probably make about £13,000 a year, maybe 30 quid a week in tips. That's full time, 12 hour shifts.

A club , if you're a very good barman, again about £13,000 /£14,000. If you're very good and you've got flair you should be able to bring home about £100 a week in tips.

It's not a lucrative job and it's a lot of work. It's not really a long term job mate. Hope you can find something better.
